DEVELOP IOSCO HIRES AMERICORPS VISTA WORKER TO PROMOTE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT |

As part of Develop Iosco’s (DI) plan to secure and sustain an economic developer in Iosco County, DI is proud to announce Shela Khan-Monroe joined the organization as an AmeriCorps VISTA worker to provide economic development services in Iosco County. Khan-Monroe’s position is funded by the AmeriCorps VISTA program, a national program designed specifically to fight poverty. Her primary responsibilities include inventorying businesses and their status and reporting on industry assets and conditions, building relationships with local businesses and local and state government to promote economic growth and develop and implement a county economic strategy to hire and sustain a full-time economic developer for Iosco County.
